The new Mercedes-Maybach S 650 “Night Edition” has been !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! The truth is, Mercedes is finally catching on to Nissan’s winning formula for improving sales.

With vehicles like the Altima SR Midnight Edition and even the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , Nissan has been outclassing Mercedes-Maybach for years.

Maybach hopes to take back 15 units of market share from Nissan, by selling the new Mercedes-Maybach S650 “Night Edition.” That’s right, all fifteen of them will have “Night Edition” badges.

Nissan’s market presence in the highly exclusive Special Edition segment will be tough to unseat though. Time will tell if !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! will catch on as an affordable, yet stylish, entry-level brand.

To be fair, MB has been doing the lamestream night/midnight thing for several years.
Maybach grille still makes me think Daewoo. I bet these things are huge in China.

Ah but will they finance anyone with a pulse, and does it have a CVT?

No CVT, but you can finance it for $99 per month on a 2,500-month term!

Whoa, a fully-loaded 2020 Versa SR (the top trim) costs less than that. You must have financed a Midnight Edition...

Honestly, I think Daewoo did it better.

I was about to say “you can’t get a Versa up to $20k...” but sure enough, I optioned one up over $22k pretty easily. Gotta have that center console and center console mat, sold separately. And of course Nissan valve stems and chrome license plate bracket.

Definitely less tacky/ostentatious.

S eriously? I thought those were $12k, maybe 15 tops. And selling at a discount.

I like how they incorporated the grille and the slat orientation into the body lines.

Come on, you didn’t add the electronics package or even all weather floor mats! You were so close to $20k, I got mine up over $22k

In some ways I miss the bland 90s designs - they aren’t trying too hard, anyway.

Many of those are dealer-installed though, it’s just not the same. Might as well be a rust-proofing treatment we’ll throw in for $299 (but it’s already been rust treated when it got here!)

The old “80% nitrogen tire fill” is a classic choice too!

That’s wicked cheap. I’d still rather eat drywall, and you can get one with 3 pedals
